Bounce & Pop – Terms & Conditions, Hire Agreement & Disclaimer

1. Agreement
By booking, paying for, or accepting delivery of any inflatable, bouncy castle, slide, assault course, soft play equipment or any other equipment supplied by Bounce & Pop (“the Company”), the Hirer confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions. The Hirer is the person responsible for the equipment from the time of delivery until collection by the Company.
2. Responsibility of the Hirer
The Hirer agrees to: Be aged 18 years or over; Be present when the equipment is delivered and collected; Ensure the equipment is supervised at all times by a responsible adult aged 18 or over; Ensure all users follow these safety rules; Accept full responsibility for the safe operation of the equipment during the hire period; Prevent misuse of the equipment; Immediately stop use if any unsafe situation develops.
3. Age & Weight Restrictions
Each inflatable has its own maximum user age, height, weight and capacity. These limits will be explained by the delivery team and must never be exceeded. Children and adults must not use the same inflatable together unless the inflatable is specifically designed for mixed‑age use.
4. Safety Rules
The following rules must always be followed: No shoes on the inflatable; Remove glasses before use where possible; Remove jewellery, watches, belts, badges and sharp objects; Empty pockets of all items; No food, drinks, chewing gum or sweets; No smoking or vaping near the inflatable; No alcohol or drugs while supervising or using the equipment; No face paint; No glitter; No silly string; No confetti cannons; No party poppers; No coloured powder; No ink or permanent markers; No pets; No bicycles, scooters or ride‑on toys; No sharp objects; No smoking, BBQs, fire pits or naked flames within 3 metres.
5. Behaviour Rules
The following are strictly prohibited: Climbing the walls; Sitting on the walls; Hanging from the walls; Wrestling; Rough play; Fighting; Somersaults; Front flips; Backflips; Diving; Pushing; Jumping onto others; Bouncing on the entrance step; Hanging from netting or roof sections. Any child behaving dangerously must be removed immediately.
6. Supervision
The inflatable must never be left unattended. Adult supervision is required throughout the hire period. The supervisor must ensure: Safe numbers are maintained; Children of similar size use the inflatable together; Users enter and exit safely; Unsafe behaviour is stopped immediately.
7. Weather Conditions
The inflatable must NOT be used during: Strong winds; Heavy rain; Thunderstorms; Lightning; Snow; Ice. If weather conditions become unsafe: Remove everyone immediately; Switch the blower off; Contact Bounce & Pop if assistance is required. The inflatable must never be used if: It becomes unstable; It begins lifting; Pegs become loose; Anchor points fail.
8. Blower & Electrical Equipment
The blower must remain switched on while the inflatable is in use. The Hirer must ensure: Nothing blocks the blower; The blower stays at least 1 metre from the inflatable; Extension leads remain dry; Electrical sockets are not overloaded; The blower is never covered. If the blower stops: Everyone must leave the inflatable immediately; Check the power supply; Check the blower tube remains attached; Contact Bounce & Pop immediately if the issue cannot be resolved.
9. Site Requirements
The Hirer must ensure: Adequate access for delivery; The installation area is suitable; The area is free from dog waste, glass, stones, sharp objects, tree branches, garden furniture and toys. A minimum clear safety zone of 2 metres around the inflatable must be maintained at all times.
10. Damage
The Hirer accepts full responsibility for any damage caused through negligence, misuse, vandalism, animals, fire, cigarettes, sharp objects, silly string, face paint, mud, excessive dirt, food or drink stains. The Hirer agrees to pay for cleaning charges, repair costs, replacement costs and loss of business while equipment is unavailable.
11. Equipment Inspection
The equipment will be inspected before delivery. By accepting delivery, the Hirer confirms that: The equipment is in good condition; The inflatable has been securely anchored; The safety briefing has been provided; The equipment is suitable for use.
12. Collection
The Hirer agrees: Not to deflate or dismantle the inflatable; Not to move the inflatable; To ensure easy access for collection; To ensure the inflatable is clean before collection. Failure to do so may result in additional charges.
13. Changes to Bookings
We understand that plans can change. Please contact us directly if you need to adjust or cancel your booking, and we will do our best to help you. If Bounce & Pop cancels due to dangerous weather conditions or circumstances beyond our control before delivery, customers will be offered either a full refund or a credit to rebook on another available date.
14. Deposits
Where a deposit has been paid: Deposits secure your booking; Deposits are non‑refundable if the booking is cancelled by the Hirer within 14 days of the hire date; Deposits may be transferred once, subject to availability and at the Company’s discretion.
15. Late Payments
Any outstanding balance must be paid before or upon delivery unless otherwise agreed. Bounce & Pop reserves the right to refuse installation where payment has not been received.
16. Liability
Bounce & Pop maintains all equipment to high safety standards and carries appropriate public liability insurance. However, all persons using the equipment do so entirely at their own risk. Bounce & Pop shall not be liable for: Injury caused by misuse; Failure to follow these Terms & Conditions; Lack of supervision; Damage to personal belongings; Accidents caused by reckless behaviour; Weather‑related incidents after delivery. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where it cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
17. Force Majeure
Bounce & Pop shall not be responsible for failure to perform due to events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, flooding, fire, road closures, vehicle breakdown, government restrictions and industrial action.
18. Photography
Bounce & Pop may take photographs of equipment set up for marketing purposes. No identifiable images of children will be used without prior consent.
19. Acceptance
By placing a booking, making payment or accepting delivery, the Hirer confirms that: They have read these Terms & Conditions; They understand their responsibilities; They accept full responsibility for the equipment during the hire period; They agree to pay for any loss, damage or cleaning charges arising from misuse or negligence; They understand that failure to follow these conditions may invalidate insurance cover and may result in liability for any resulting loss or damage. These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
